The Sydney Mission has started the year having taken on the pastoral care of the parish of St Joseph in Oatley last November, together with the existing parishes in Penshurst and Peakhurst.
February saw the graduation celebration of yet another cohort of students from the Arete Centre of Missionary Leadership. With over 50 graduates from the 2023 program, the Foundations of Missionary Leadership course continues to be a source of transformation and growth, not only for students, but for their contexts, ministries and the wider Church.
In March, Fr Josh and his team of youth leaders launched the new vision for youth ministry across the parishes. This work of Fr Josh emphasises the mission to bring God’s love to life in young people. Opportunities for encounter and discipleship are at the heart of this new vision and strategy for youth ministry.
