This year, our Melbourne Mission reached out to local parishes and groups with a new initiative to together open their hearts to the power of the Holy Spirit. The event was hosted by a local high school and was a sell-out, with over 350 people attending. Providing children's ministry meant that many young parents could also attend. The afternoon included two main sessions, separated by a workshop block and afternoon tea.
Our keynote speakers Justine Cumbo (Alpha Catholic) and Rob Falzon (Men Alive) spoke powerfully about the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives and people responded by entering into our times of prayer and worship - there was a very long line for prayer ministry!
We look forward to developing this collaboration with other parishes and groups, and doing what we can to bring renewal to the wider church.
